The Galaxy Watch 5 launched in August 2022 in 40 mm and 44 mm, joined by the 45 mm Watch 5 Pro with its titanium case, sapphire crystal and much larger battery. Neither has a rotating bezel — this was the generation Samsung left it out.
Samsung pushed One UI 8 Watch to the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro in early December 2025, more than three years after they launched. Once that update is installed, both handle these faces exactly like a new watch does.
